* If you're looking for a compact and fuel-efficient small SUV with rugged looks, passable off-road credentials and a number of unique features not found on the competition, the 2014 Jeep Compass may just pull you in. Source: KBB.com
* Comfortable front seats; a few clever features; reasonably capable off-road when properly equipped. Source: Edmunds
* One look at the 2014 Compass with its distinct grill, and youâ€TMll know you are buying a Jeep. It draws from a rich heritage of capability and places it into the body of a striking crossover SUV. With sweeping lines and a modern flair, this beauty is bound to impress. The Compass is available in three models: Sport, Latitude, and Limited. The Sport and Latitude come standard with a 2.0-Liter, 4-Cylinder 158 horsepower engine. The Limited comes standard with a 2.4-liter, 4-Cylinder engine with 172 horsepower, and it is an option for the other two models. The Sport is the only model that comes in a five-speed manual transmission. Optional on the Sport and standard on the Latitude and Limited is the 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. However, all three models give you the option of the AutoStick Automatic transmission, which lets you drive in fully automatic mode or driver interactive manual. The 4x4 is available in two styles: the Freedom Drive I, or the Freedom Drive II. With the Compass, fuel efficiency capabilities vary depending on which combination of engine, drivetrain, and transmission types you choose. However, the best gas mileage is achieved if you choose the Sport model with its 2.0-liter engine, front-wheel drive, and manual transmission. It gives you an EPA estimated 23 MPG City and 30 MPG Highway. Inside the Compass dash controls are intuitive and within easy reach. If you go with the Latitude or Limited, audio controls are on the steering wheel. Standard on the Limited and optional on the Latitude is the Uconnect System with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, and the ability to use voice commands for making calls and controlling your MP3 player. For storage, there is 53.6 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are folded. Jeep has considered safety as well for the Compass. Standard on all models is electronic stability control, roll mitigation, speed control, brake assist, and an a

  • The worst

This was THE WORST vehicle I’ve ever owned & I’ve owned an 30 year old Dodge Dakota. Not fast, not good on gas, not reliable & not built to last. The worse part of this vehicle is the throttle body. It’s built & placed at a weird place. It will give u problems every year or so. The part isn’t expensive but, u will have to get it put on a computer just to reset it. The 1st time the dealership charged me $1200. 2 years later....yep $1000. DONT BUY THIS CAR!
  • Love it! Perfect First Car

I got my 2016 Jeep Compass in April last year and have loved it ever since. It may not be a mustang, camaro, or a Big Bad Wrangler, but it still is great. I had never heard of the car till we went to look at it. Its almost a year later are we put in an aftermarket radio and subs and now its popin. Plus people just love it because it has the jeep name. I can be your jeep with out the Jeep price.
  • Lesser Model of not so much fun

The vehicle within 120,000 miles and 4.6 years of ownership has been more of a drag on life than a positive experience. Everything from ball joints, to transmission issues, even the sellers were terrible. Front end of the car needed to be redone as well as the rear, full bearings and hubs within 90,000 miles. The interior was poorly made and designed, its to tight in spots and material wise the seats ripped just from sitting in them, Selt belts barely click and the radio wasnt worth anything more than a clock. It looks like some sort of knock off kia but falls apart faster. No space for car seat toddlers and the cargo area is small. Overall the car is a dumpster fire.
